Overview
This is the assessment checkpoint for Side A2. It checks whether you can move between definitions, graphs, equations, vectors, practical ideas, and projectile-motion models without being prompted.
What You Need to Know
- The test may include definitions, graph interpretation, SUVAT calculations, vertical motion, vectors, projectile motion, and practical analysis.
- Show enough working for your method to be followed.
- Use units, signs, and significant figures carefully.
- Feedback matters most when you turn it into specific correction tasks.
How to Work Through It
- Review the scope of the test and any instructions before starting.
- Complete the assessment independently, showing clear working throughout.
- Mark or review the paper carefully when feedback is available.
- Record the topic areas and question types that need follow-up.
Check Your Understanding
- Which topic area cost you the most marks?
- Were your errors mainly definitions, method choices, calculations, or explanations?
- Did your working make your method clear enough to earn method marks?
- What is the first correction you need to complete?
Common Mistakes
- Leaving out units or signs in calculation answers.
- Using SUVAT without checking the constant-acceleration condition.
- Misreading graph gradients or areas.
- Treating feedback as a score rather than as a revision plan.
Next Steps
- Complete corrections using full sentences or full working, depending on the question.
- Add the weakest Side A2 skills to your next revision plan.
